FAQ

Neurotoxins (Botox):

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF NEUROTOXIN TREATMENTS? Neurotoxins gently relax dynamic wrinkles such as crow’s feet, forehead lines, and frown lines, creating a smoother, more refreshed appearance. Treatments can also help prevent deeper lines from forming over time.

HOW SOON WILL I SEE RESULTS? You may begin to see smoothing within 3–5 days, with full results at 10–14 days. There is no true downtime, though minor redness or pinpoint swelling at the injection sites can occur and typically resolves within minutes to hours.

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER TREATMENT? Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area, lying flat for 4 hours, strenuous exercise for the rest of the day, and excessive heat (saunas, hot yoga) for 24 hours. Alcohol and blood-thinning medications may increase bruising.

Microneedling:

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF MICRONEEDLING? Microneedling stimulates collagen and elastin to improve skin texture, reduce acne scars, soften fine lines, and enhance overall radiance. It also helps skincare products absorb more effectively and boosts skin firmness over time.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME & WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS? Expect mild redness and sensitivity for 24–48 hours, similar to a light sunburn. Some dryness or flaking may occur as the skin renews. Visible improvement typically appears within 1–2 weeks, with deeper collagen changes developing over several months.

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER TREATMENT? Avoid makeup, active skincare (retinoids, acids, exfoliants), direct sun exposure, sweating, and hot environments for 24–48 hours. Always use SPF and avoid picking or exfoliating flaking skin.

Chemical Peels:

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF CHEMICAL PEELS? Chemical peels brighten the complexion, smooth texture, lift discoloration, minimize congestion, and refresh dull or uneven skin. They promote healthy cell turnover, revealing a clearer, more refined glow.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME & WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS? Downtime varies by peel strength. Light peels may cause mild redness or dryness with little to no visible peeling, while medium-depth peels may lead to peeling over 3–7 days. Skin often looks more radiant within a week, with continued improvement as new skin emerges.

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER A PEEL? Avoid sun exposure, sweating, exfoliation, picking or peeling flaking skin, hot showers, and active skincare ingredients (retinoids, AHAs/BHAs, vitamin C) until the skin is fully healed. Daily SPF is essential.

LED Phototherapy:

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF RED LIGHT THERAPY? Red Light Therapy delivers gentle, therapeutic wavelengths that help reduce inflammation, calm redness, boost collagen production, and support overall skin repair. It can enhance healing after procedures, improve circulation, soften fine lines, and promote a brighter, healthier-looking complexion.

WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME & WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS? There is no downtime with Red Light Therapy. Most clients experience an immediate sense of calm and slight glow, while cumulative benefits—such as improved texture, reduced inflammation, and enhanced radiance—develop over several sessions. It is safe, non-invasive, and ideal as a standalone treatment or post-procedure add-on.

WHAT SHOULD I AVOID AFTER TREATMENT? Avoid applying heavy makeup, retinoids, or strong exfoliants right before treatment if your skin is irritated. After treatment, there are no major restrictions—however, it’s best to avoid intense heat, harsh skincare actives, or direct sun exposure if your skin is already sensitive. Always use SPF daily.

WHO SHOULD AVOID or USE CAUTION WITH RED LIGHT THERAPY? While Red Light Therapy is generally safe for most individuals, it is not recommended for clients with melasma or heat/light-triggered pigmentation, as the stimulation can potentially worsen hyperpigmentation in sensitive cases. Those using photosensitizing medications or experiencing active skin infections should also avoid treatment until medically cleared.
